Popular Post ChangBang Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 Smoked the RyJ Churchill(GEL Feb 20) that came with the Xmas sampler during the bills niners game last night. I have a single from the host that I purchased around the same time frame as the sampler, so hopefully I'll be able to revisit this in a while and see how it changes. Pairing with a coffee stout at first which was alright, nothing too special though. Wrapper looks nice to me and the cigar is overweight by 2g, not sure if that's a lot over or a little over - guess I'll see once I light it up. Aroma at cold strength is average. Gave it a punch, little tight so gave it a standard guillotine and it's still a tad tight but we'll see. 1/3 - Light sweetness with maybe hints of cherry(could have been wishful thinking) alternating with a toasty wood 1hr in 2/3 - barnyard funk in the 2nd after an ash. Transitions into a light tobacco sweetness then goes harsh as I'm puffing on it pretty frequently. Start up a timer on my phone to regulate my puffs and the light maybe cherry sweetness reappears 3/3 - Pure wood/cedar 2hrs and 10min in The draw wasn't too good and smoke output was not great for most of the stick and I had to puff on it excessively or else it would go out. I had to relight it a bunch especially when I started timing my puffs, figure relighting was better than smoking too fast and making it harsh. Only maybe halfway through the 3rd did I really start getting good smoke output and by that time I was really frustrated with it which took down my score. 4/10 - flavors were nice but man the frequent relights and the tough smoke output really brought this cigar down! It lasted me 2hrs and 30 min and was a constant battle trying to keep it lit! Maybe a little harsh, but the frustration really got to me. I am also in my fantasy playoff semi-final and had Deebo vs their Diggs with me going in with a small lead - until Deebo got things going in like the last 2 or 3 niner posessions, I was losing and I doubt that helped with my mindset for this cigar lol. Still have 1 more resting that I'll smoke ehh dunno probably in the spring 6
ChangBang Posted December 9, 2020 Author Posted December 9, 2020 Haha after my first plugged CC, I bought the perfecdraw - in the last pic. May need to get more practice with it or something, didn't really feel any plugged spots with it though. May have just been overfilled
