Popular Post smitte3 Posted December 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2020 Cold draw: punch cut, wide open draw just the way I like it, with hints of leather and spice. Conditions tonight outside are dry (16% humidity), windy and warm (74F). 1st third: Very interesting open, chocolate flavors mixed with a bouquet of light spices, light-medium in body. I immediately think if Monte #4 and Juan Lopez #2 had a baby it would be a Maduro #1. This is the 1st Partagas maduro stick for me of the line and I'm the opposite of a Partagas fan, but this is palatable for me and even enjoyable, a pleasant surprise. Razor sharp burn, very white ash, super easy to draw, no aftertaste bitterness, smooth with viscous smoke, very strong start. 2nd third: Ash falls off after an inch or so, chocolate flavors fade a bit and it's mostly mellow spices, all continuing to perform very well. No adult beverages tonight, just pairing with water and practicing some puts on the turf with my putter that I got extended and regripped today because golf survives on the short list of acceptable activities to do these days in California. Last third: flavors remain consistent, very smooth, no bitterness towards the end, very enjoyable, hour burn time. I see this appealing to anyone into Montecristo and a step away from the Serie D No4 flavors. 91/100 13
cleelv Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Helpful review! Got a box of these on 24:24 and waiting for better weather to dip in, but as a fan of Montes and the Cohiba Maduro 5 line I'm excited to try these. 2
