garbandz Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Rob has been singing the praises of this cigar for a while, so I decided to burn one. Very tasty, slightly salty on the finish, floral aromas. glad I tried this, and thanks Rob...........
MrBirdman Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Just had one myself this morning. Great release by HSA. 1
garbandz Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 getting near the end....... above average robusto in my recent experience.? 1 1
Kaptain Karl Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 I just ordered a bunch of boxes of them so I cant wait to try them out! The fact that they're smoking so well so young is a huge plus. I have a lot of cigars right now that need another year or two to lay down, having smokes that are good immediately after 60 days is huge! 3
prshah25 Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 How is the strength of these cigars? I have head these are strong.
garbandz Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 above medium strength, for a CC. mostly full bodied, lots of flavor going on. the last 4 or 5 puffs showed these to still be a bit young, but still tasty. another year should put them right. 4

It's a major reason I recently ordered a couple more boxes - I don't think I've smoked a single one with even a year on it, and while they're "intense" they certainly aren't harsh or bitter. Best part is that they should continue getting better with more age. 37 minutes ago, prshah25 said: How is the strength of these cigars? I have head these are strong. As @garbandz said they're medium-full. Most examples I've smoked are smooth on the retrohale even at such a young age. The predominant flavor is undoubtedly peanut - kinda like the taste you get from a peanut when it hits your tongue but before you start chewing. There are definitely some spices there too, of the nutmeg, cinnamon, mace variety (rather than Partagas-style spice). Some honey. I expect that with age the spice will develop and integrate more closely with the peanut. Whether I can stock enough to have any aged ones left is another matter! 1 1
BoliDan Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 My favorite current punch, including regionals. Also, It more of a robusto than a short robusto. It is longer and 50rg instead of the standard short robusto that are shirt and 52+. It is very punchy in flavor. 1
Tstew75 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Wrappers vary widely on these as they're rolled all over. Be choosy, I've opened some horrid looking boxes lately. That said, happy to see Punch getting some love! 1

I've seen multiples of 4 different codes, with no real consistency amongst them. I guess I was implying either trust our faithful host, or really be ready to gamble if buying blind from elsewhere. I'd guess 1 in 4 boxes look A+ (maybe on par with other CCs, but I'm sensing more variability).
