Got these as a sixer courtesy of our hosts here. This one is the last of the batch, and as looks would have it, probably the finest of the batch. A dark wrapper with plenty of sheen, and some fine bunching around the foot20201122_151346.jpg.86e92ca1d1c44c296a74b8d9cf689983.jpg

The draw was perfect, no knots or anything. Flavor wise the cigar provides coffee notes with slight pepper and an underlying bread sweetness. It reminds me of a partagas without the bell pepper or slight sourness.

Little evolution occurs from the first to second third. The notes are perfectly fine, but I don't particularly like this cigar, it's a little boring20201122_160149.jpg.f49d54c3a7e33c47ce40455d2bbcc4e6.jpg

This is about where I call it. It's a little cold out and while the cigar is perfectly fine, excellent even, I just dont particularly care for the profile. I leave it about half finished out of boredom.

6/10, the cigar itself had no issues, I'm just not a fan of the vitola. I dont think I'd buy Upmann 2s again. I hope the brand has more interesting profiles to offer. It was, dare I say, a boring, but good smoke.

I would tend to think if you used a double edged guillotine cutter and straight cut a good 1/4 inch off that taper that your flavors from that cigar would have been much more enjoyable. I have an LUB14 box and they are a fine stick, albeit larger than my preferred format. Still one of the best #2

Did you just bite the tip ?

What was the box date on it?  Were the other 5 about the same as this one?

I've been using a kitchen knife to cut off the wrapper ?. Not sure what the box date is, but yes this one was about the same
