Not to be an outlier - because I too am thrilled with the quality of everything I've ever received - but it would be great if there was consistency with how graded boxes are labelled.  There is a price difference after all, between PSP, HQ and Clearance.  

I've ordered PSP boxes and received them with mostly red, but also some with orange stickers.  Other PSP/HQ boxes have been received with no stickers.

Again, I'm happy, but would be great if the stickers could be consistent!

I suggest "Bone" for PSP, "Eggshell" for HQ and a subtle "Off White" for PE.

Take a look at the box and decide for yourself if it's PSP or HQ.  It only matters what you think it is.

It is not going to happen. Not this year at least. 

As I always say, if there is no perceived value, don't purchase graded product. stick to clearance or cart.  Pricing of  PSP is generally at or about cart prices give or take 5-10%. Sometimes under. Grading commenced so the team would have an answer when asked "what's good at the moment".  It still works 99% of the time. 

Whatever makes you happy. Absolutely no skin off my nose either way

I am just a little surprised that a box that is sold as PSP/HQ would be sent out without a sticker and has a cigar with a cracked foot.  Seems more like a clearance box. I have only purchased clearance boxes up to this point and all have been as described.

All I ever wanted was a vendor who would pick thru the pile and choose the best boxes for me.

Would I pay a bit more to be sure I was getting a quality box, and not a box of tent pegs ?

You bet your ass I would.

You get what you pay for in life, if you want mediocre cigars, buy from a mediocre vendor.

If you want moldy rejects and a " f*&k you " attitude when you have a complaint, there is a vendor out there for you, too.

Never got a crap box from Rob, cart, clearance, HQ, or PSP.  He’s had many opportunities to provide one to me, and to be honest he’s so long overdue I wouldn’t care if I got one. This means solid wrappers, good quality sticks, and for some of you who’ve never shopped elsewhere, you may not realize the trash you can get from others.  I pay little attention to PSP, HQ, other than its an assurance I’ll get that little extra specialness to it.

I’ve seen a couple people mention plugs.  That’s got nothing to do with this.  Expecting Rob and team to open a SLB, unwrap the ribbon and feel each stick individually for knots/hard spots is just silly expectations.  First that would take ages, second, there’s no such thing as a box of CC without at least a couple tight or wind tunnel sticks.  They’d never sell a box then lol.  If that’s a concern there’s some solid NCs you should buy instead.

Be thankful for the FOH team, don’t stress over stickers.  Instead, stress over the postal service.  They’re the ones you need to worry about.  ?

I have asked some other vendors questions like "what's your best smoking corona right now?"  What they offer as an answer is the cigar I want.  I just want a good box and am not too picky on the Marca most of the time.  Never failed me.

 

I cannot remember a truly crappy box (if it ever even happened) I got from here or the other big players in the last 15 years.  You only need to do business with a handful of vendors unless you're really looking for something unique.  If you are, you should already to what to expect and from whom.

He never touched any of the ones I got, I can smell a banker or a lawyer from a mile away ???
