Popular Post FireDigger
I actually smoked this a couple of weeks ago. It was a straggler in my singles drawer that I most likely received from someone in the 2010-2012 time period. The band is surprisingly new-looking. It measures 5 5/8 inches long and low 40s ring gauge so it does match the du Roi size. I was very surprised this was discontinued in 2009. This was such a wonderful cigar that I smoked it down to under an inch which is more than what I usually do. The predominant profile is aromatic woods, but the aftertaste is on the sweet side as opposed to tannic tea-like flavors. There was only one point where there was a buildup of guey tar at the head of the cigar that gave every puff an aluminum/soapy taste, but after a cut, the flavors went back to being enjoyable. I would give this a 8.5/10.
