Popular Post havanaclub Posted November 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2020 Today in Canada we pause to remember those that served, fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I want to celebrate and remember my Poppa who was a fighter pilot in the RCAF who was shot down in flight Jan 23, 75 years ago. He was captured and liberated 3 months later. I will never forget the times we had together. And thank you to all of those who have served. Lest we forget. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 11 2
Popular Post rckymtn22 Posted November 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 11, 2020 Just finished watching the national Remembrance Day ceremonies. Thinking of my grandfathers who both served during WW2 and afterwards as career soldiers. One was in the British army and the other in the Norwegian army. Thank you for all of those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice. 6
JohnS Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Similarly, in Australia, we acknowledge Remembrance day in our country with a number of prominent public ceremonies to commemorate the sacrifice committed by our citizens (whether military or civilian) who served our country during (military) conflict. 4
