Bijan
Chose two cigars approximately same weight didn't go too close because some had minor damage at the foot and was worried it would affect the wet cigar. Chose this because of time constraints and because flavours have been consistently woody so I knew what it should taste like. Dry review: 7mm punch. Good draw but firm. Started out wood. Then white pepper. Then cloves. Kind of like a djarum cigarillo though I haven't had one in almost 20 years. Pleasant and crisp. Stopped at 22 minutes.
Popular Post Bijan
Wet review. Same punch. Draw good but firm slightly looser. Same flavours maybe about less wood. Some sweet burnt vanilla at the end. Flavours were muted. Not crisp. Noticed this on my other two wet reviews but assumed it was due to smoking a second hour long cigar back to back. Didn't enjoy it as much. I think of the three I like the Partagas Shorts dry and the du Maire dry. Even though the dry shorts had a fireproof wrapper because the flavours were more defined and more crisp. I like the Montecristo Edmundo wet because I didn't like the nutmeg so dominant in the dry. Which was absent in the wet. But even there I wasn't crazy about the muted flavours. It was just more pleasant with the mint and vanilla. Stopped at 23 minutes. Don't think I'll be rushing to dunk cigars unless I have to smoke a cigar whose flavours are too strong and not to my liking.
