El Presidente Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Your top 3-5 cigars in terms of strength/body that you have smoked this year? Yes I know that they are not the same but it is a confusing concept for many but picture the following Think of a bell curve based left to right: light-light medium- medium-medium full and full bodied. Which were your top 3-5 cigars that were most skewed to the right of that curve. Keep it to Cuban cigars.
Bijan Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 I smoke almost only regular production and find Bolivar and Ramon Allones the strongest. So probably BPC, BRC, RASS, RASCC. Though now that I've smoked more than a few, they are not so overpowering as before.
NSXCIGAR Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 HU Propios, #1 by far Boli Tubos No. 3 RASCC is always on the stronger side but behind those two.
Paladin865 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 RJ sports largo, Punch coranation, Montecristo 4, Partagas D5, Bolivar royal corona
KCCubano Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Fresh BCJ and RASCC. The BCJ was darnn near unsmokable and about coughed up a lung. Needless to say they went to the back of humidor. 1
westg Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Partagas Maduro No 1 Bolivar royal corona A little powerhouse Bolivar No 3
PuffDaddie Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 1 Partagas d.no.4 2.Rasscc. 3. Bolivar royal corona 1
Habana Mike Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 HLP BHK60, fresh BBF, La Isla, Don Jose though they are fading. Some NC.....
mprach024 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Partagas Lucy, PLPC (19), and a JL2 I thought punched above it’s weight class, hope the rest of that box continues
JohnS Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 1. Romeo y Julieta Tacos 2018 EL 2. Late-2016 Juan Lopez Seleccion No.2 3. Early-2019 Bolivar Belicosos Finos
Connoisseur Kim Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 1. Partagas Lusitanias from Kenfessions Comp - Full 2. Montecristo No. 1 from Kenfessions Comp - Medium to Full 3. Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios from Kenfessions Comp - Medium to Full, but sweeter than Monte No. 1
99call Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 1, JL1 2, Upmann Mag 46 3, Montecristo Especial 4, Worthy mention for the R&J Royales. Currently I have a nice dark rosado box, and they are powerhouses
Meklown Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 BPC Propios CoShorts - it's generally not felt because these are tiny. However, I don't think I would be able to take this blend in a PC / Robusto size. Hoyo DC - one of the two sticks I had this year almost knocked me out. Granted, I was in a rush after the halfway mark and it was under extremely humid conditions so the cigar became more and more moist - so I had to puff extra hard. The second stick was better, but due to the sheer size I also found that the strength builds up towards the end.
david9985 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 1. RASS 2. PLPC Nothing else I have smoked has been strong enough to merit being on the list.
djrey Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Pretty surprised to keep seeing PLPC pop up here. I will admit they pack a nicotine hit for me if I nub one but I have now been through half a cab of 2019's and they are light body, just touching medium by the end to my palate. 2
Gorangutang Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Don’t have 3 to throw in the list, but:Monte 2 - I consider this to be medium-full.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GavLew79 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 These are in terms of Body. I don't really get "strength" in terms of Nicotine. I've been tobacco sick once, but that's it...and I might have smoked 4 cigars with 4 coffees in that day years ago. 1. 2018 Mag 54. Pretty full, much more so than my 46s and 50s. 2. 2019 Trinidad Vigia. I know. Trinidad?? This youngin' was pretty robust. 3. 2014 JLo2. I normally don't find these full, but this one was.
CigarZen Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 Got some BUP 19 Lusi.s that were palate peelers. ?. Definitely need time to age, which I believe will be a good thing.? 1
Hammer Smokin' Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 HU Propios Cohiba Medio Siglo Bolivar RC
Rhinoww Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Not much to add other than many of these cigars are in my regular rotation and don’t seem as strong as they used to. Had a BBF last night on the zoom. Actually thought (to myself) are these getting lighter or am I smoking too many of them/other stronger sticks. Others in regular rotation now are JL1 and 2, BRC and Mag 46. So maybe I need to lighten up for a while and get my tastebuds back. 1
fastkiller13 Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 RyJ Cazadores, I had a 19 Talisman turn me green the other day but I haven’t had a larger format in some time and BBF.
