Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ Maduro Selectos (FUTRRW)

Recommended Posts

It's not my favorite NC cigar, but my go-to cigar.

Start with the price. Not many retailers in the states carry this, they usually have the natural version though, but the one I buy from do them in bundles at great price (90USD for 20). Around 5USD per cigar is I deem as the standard point of entry level premium cigars because being lower than this means higher risk of smoking garbage.

Then the flavor. Maduro is way more pleasing than the natural as it brings more sweetness, cocoa, chocolate and milk. Despite smoking cigars, I'd simply love those foods in daily diet. It's not complex or changeable compared with higher end sticks, but robust flavors can please a palate more than enough.

Overall the quality is way beyond average cigar makers out there - it's My Father related after all. Maduro wrapper burns razor sharp. Some batches tend to be rough looking in some ways, however considering the pricing, it's acceptable as long as it doesn't affect flavors.

Taking cost into account, it's a solid 85+ daily smoke for me, if not 90+.
