Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted October 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 2, 2020 San Christobal de La Habana La Fuerza circa 2019 1/3: Construction felt very good and draw was perfect. The initial burn was a bit wonky but settled down. Initially some earthy notes with woody tannins, coffee, cocoa dusting, nuts with spiciness on the retrohale and finish. The tannins blow off and There is a fine Carmelo in the core that adds sweetness. The peanuts are turning that into a nougat. Wow I hope this holds for a while... 2/3: Ash is flaky whitish grey and smoke volume excellent. Burn remains wonky so some light torching is applied. I took a picture in sunlight to show off the PSP wrapper and fine tooth. I picked this off a 6er last year. Well this is getting better. Add a touch of saltines to the nougat and the flavor profile is really enjoyable. Medium + now. I sampled one of these last year and regret that now. It was muted and a bit harsh. This is still young but well rested. I like the direction these are going. At the half pole we are at ramming speed... 3/3: The burn has settled down nicely as the low humidity outside has helped things along. The dark chocolate notes are stepping up now with some herbal flavor I can't place. Similar to Turkish coffee. I smoked this into the band and intensity goes up a level. Overall a 93+ which I didn't see coming 9

Islandboy Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Nice review! Yeah, I have a 2019 box...brilliant tasting. 1
ChangBang Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Great review, smoked and have a couple el principe's(ok but nothing I'd really seek out again) left so I haven't really considered any of the other vitolas in their lineup. But this sounds delicious! I'll have to grab a few when I can! 1

I'm also not hearing anything great about La Punta lately. Stick with El Principe, La Fuerza, Torreon and Prado with La Fuerza being the best all-around choice. I can't stop buying them. 18s seem a tad better overall than 19s and I've yet to have any 20s. 1 1
Kaptain Karl Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I have a box of 2018 clearance. They didn’t smoke great until the past month, easily 92+ now. They’re definitely gonna be in my rotation
CampDelta369 Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 It's another cigar I would not have had the opportunity to try until el prez started offering quarter boxes. Especially on some PSP listings. I hope to see more of that in the future when supplies and travel become more normalized.
ReturnFreeRisk Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 RAT ENE 20 Fuerza also putting up 90+s about a few into the box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
