I live in a hot/humid area.  I bought a electric cigar cooler that i plan to set at 65 degrees to store CC in.  I have read the in depth thread about temperature and humidity.  I am going back and forth between 62% boveda vs 65% boveda.

Any recommendations?  I just got into cigars recently.  Thanks in advance!

Hi @moneyneversleeps - in terms of humidity, it really comes down to what you like.  There is no right/wrong....just your personal preference. That said, a range of 62-65% is right in the wheelhouse for a lot of FOHer’s. Good luck!

What's the RH in the room you keep the humidor and what's the humidity in the humidor. For best results with boveda you want to be adding humidity with the boveda and not removing it. If humidity is higher than 65% you might want to consider another solution.

I’m new in storing/ aging cigars and I’ve been experimenting with humidity, I’ve put a boveda 65% in a Tupperware for a month then I smoked the cigar ( directly without dry boxing it or anything) and it’s a bit dry, can’t taste the flavors and it’s a bit harsh. Burn is hot as well

Not sure if I missed a step ? I’ve a hygrometer that reads 65%.I’ve  Smoked from the box ( bought from our host ) before and it was fine

Could be a matter of personal taste but I thought I’ll ask
