Popular Post cigaraholic Posted September 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2020 Got these cigars online from St Martin, a great guy....Juggie...picked me out some wonderful cigars for many years. The best of all the boxes I ordered were these Churchill’s. Castro had just died, he said no telling what was going to happen with the tobacco industry and prices were still reasonable so it was a good time to buy......music to my ears! I ordered 2 boxes of SLR Churchill’s, when I opened the boxes they looked like they’d been dipped in oil. So I did what any cigar crazed person would do, ordered 2 more boxes, which were just as gorgeous. Just broke into my last box, it’s been a 15 year love affair and fun to see how a great cigar changes over the years. Beautiful silky smooth colorado maduro wrapper with a lovely box press. The cigar feels wonderful in my hand, very nicely filled as all have been, this one 16.6g. Perfect for me cuban tug draw. First puffs are chocolate malt, peanuts and Cointreau. Next a flavor that took about 10 years to develop, white peach’s. At midpoint it goes back to cocoa and Cointreau, like fine perfume the smoke is so soft in my mouth. Last third is all apricot, then it’s turns into a orange creamsicle. Finishes with a delicious honeyed apricot flavor, 2hr 15 min of cigar heaven. Looks like I’m on a box every 5 year average, hopefully I’ll get to see how they’re smoking at 20 years old. 11
Chucko8 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Picture of beauty right there. Sounds divine!
Fugu Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 A fave. Cointreau-doused apricots and white peach sounds like a delicious expression of SLR hallmark flavours.
