LLC Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 For me, sexiest lines on a car.... the C1 Corvette 1957-59. Can never go past without stopping and staring. One of these days I will own one. 1957 1959 Love that range of Corvettes. I’ve spent a lot of time at the Barrett Jackson auction in Las Vegas over the years and always love seeing these there. Finding a speed hump it will go over without scraping the underside is also tough. Getting in and out of parking lots would be a nightmare, not to mention what would happen if you come across a pothole. After my Saab 9-3 Aero, I promised myself to never buy another car with a front spoiler I can't easily get my foot under. 1

I am not a huge fan of the back end of the current Vantage but agree that as a brand AM has always been the winner for me in the looks department. Have gone through more than a few over the years, currently in an Arden Green DB11. (pardon the garage, just moved place is a mess!) Love every angle on her. Especially her back end. 8
Popular Post fokker4me Posted September 22, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2020 Crude and crass but immediately evokes thoughts of the 1980s purely based on it's shape. 8

What are we looking at here? I was thinking GTV (which has unfortunately been “indefinitely postponed”), but this is slightly different. And agreed, btw

Brian24 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 Very exotic looking cars, MGs certainly have a loyal fanbase. I have a friend who rebuilt an mgb from the ground up.My Dad has done a couple MGs and a Triumph over the years. I’ve got a soft spot for old British cars.

Popular Post El Presidente Posted November 25, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted November 25, 2021 Fast Facts – The Daimler SP250 “Dart” The Daimler SP250 has been called the “British Corvette” due to the fact it likely took the inspiration for its fiberglass body and V8 engine from the American sports car. The quirky design of the SP250 has won it both fans and detractors in the decades since its introduction. The body was designed with aerodynamics in mind, however the front has been derisively been described as “droopy.” The British police famously used SP250s to chase and catch the cafe racer “Ton Up Boys” in the 1950s and 1960s, none of the other police vehicles of the time could match the speed of the 100+ mph motorcycles. 6

Ford2112 Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Saw one of these on the Mecum auction recently on tv.

wine_junkie Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 It is an amazing car to drive (girl jokes aside) sorry we’re blocking the damn view but it’s the inly recent photo I could find of it. A good friend of mine owns it and I drive it (and helped restore it) every other week. It drives like a newer car…crazy that they had direct injection fuel injection on a car from the 50’s! (One half of the Luftwaffe Engine) 2
SMELTZ Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Growing up, my neighbor had his own cobra that was an original. He was a mechanic for the Ford Cobra race team back in the day. I don't have a pic of his car but it looked like this 2
