This is the ONLY limited edition cigar I have ever purchased.  Spoiler alert, it will be my last. Give me an aged regular production any day.  You can keep your LE/RE's

The wrapper is dark, oily and thick. It looks beautiful, but I was sure there would be issues, even with dry boxing it for half a day in 20% humidity.

Aged to 4 years, about where I start to enjoy my Monty's.

Right off the bad it was bitter bakers chocolate with cedar.  Slowly nuts were added to the mix

About 20 minutes in, coffee and cream entered.  The chocolate became more of a dark chocolate, slightly sweeter than the original bakers chocolate.

Over time the chocolate became more milk chocolate.  From the start it was bitter, but by half, it was smooth milk chocolate.  Cream also ramped up.

The last half was all the same, though coffee dropped off.  Milk chocolate, cream, and nuts. Very much like the core Montecristo flavors.

But that was the problem.  Aside from being heavier in chocolate, it wasn't anything greater than my normal line up of Montecristos. The only big difference beside a slightly ramped up chocolate profile was the wrapper.  It was bad.  Constant touch ups.  The wrapper couldn't keep up with the rest.  I skillfully kept lightly touching up the wrapper to keep it going.  It didn't hurt the flavor, but it was annoying. For the money, I would have preferred the Monty 2, or an Edmundo/Double Edmundo.   Though I did enjoy the cigar. Cigar lasted an impressive 2:15, though other cigars in the box lasted an average closer to 1:45
