Montecristo Especial No. 2 REG OCT 19 (MRW2)

Second one from this HQ box. First one was two weeks ago ROTT. My only note on that was lots of pepper.

8mm punch cut and 3 perfecdraw hits but draw still tight. Cigar weighed in at 10.4g or 10.6g so a little heavy and looked tightly packed from the foot so I picked a second one. The second one was 8.4 grams and same punch and one tiny perfecdraw hit to open it up draw was good.

Pre light draw I'm not sure but something savoury.

When lit instant spice but not exactly pepper, maybe chilie pepper. Some cinnamon so I'd describe it as that spicy cinnamon candy flavour.

Flavour was consistent throughout but got a bit weaker as the cigar went on. Possibly just due to me getting used to it. But I think it did get weaker because the retrohale had less and less spice.

Tiny bit of uneven burn, two touch ups and one relight as my lighter ran out of fuel and I had to go find my butane.

53 minute smoke time.

I'd rate it 88, higher than this morning's Monte 5 which was just plain pepper.

Looking forward to smoking a Monte 4 next as the last one from that box had lots of cream, and some coffee and cocoa. So an interesting contrast.
