El Presidente Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 Long lunch with mates Long dinner with friends Great company, ton of laughter, warm glow of good food and booze. You have already had a cigar or two and are reaching for the last cigar of the afternoon/evening/night. What cigar do you consistently "go to" in this situation. 1
Bijan Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 No specific cigar but almost always a petit corona. I guess siglo ii if I was a good host Edit: I assumed I was going to be smoking with my friends and would want to pick something even the occasional smokers would enjoy. Otherwise my answer would be Monte 2. 1
bmf30180 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I tend to grab the cab of Lusitanias for this. 2
Ash Bridges Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 PLPC is always a winner. That box of '08 secretos from our host is elbowing its way in though... 2
Popular Post inter4alia Posted August 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2020 Partagas 898 for sure. Stands up very well under those circumstances. 6
CigarAsh Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I’ve gone to a PL Montecarlo a lot in that situation. Always a good closer after other bigger cigars.
Bohemio Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Usually it will be a lusitania, but lately i have to say trini media luna.
foursite12 Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 The member of the bar from the Windy City is on the money. Partagas 898 is the clear choice. You certainly won't want anything after that. 3
john007 Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 For me it’s got to be a Punch DC. Way to consistent, always a great draw and great flavor.
NSXCIGAR Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 After a day of smoking I'm probably not going for a big smoke at the end. I want something to round out the evening with a bit of kick to overcome any lingering taste from the other cigars. I'd probably go Monte PE or PLPC.
Cmelle Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Cohiba Shorts ???? Haha The last 100 pack I went through, it was habit to finish with one. It became tradition. They always tasted better after another cigar for some reason. I'm usually smoking a bigger cigar before hand, and am going for something smaller to finish. So besides the CoSho, PLPC or BCJ usually seals the deal for me. 2
SansSin Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 if i have already smoked a couple then i prob wouldn't want anything bigger then a robusto and i would want something medium to full. i like dessert chocolate cigars after eating too so maybe a VR famosos, BLR, monte 4, or RA small club
Meklown Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I tend to always follow up with a fuller/stronger cigar if I've already had a few. But if I'm having a good time with my mates, anything goes really 1
MrBirdman Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 The pairing would influence my choice - really like port after dinner (or any other time) and Secretos would be hard to beat; my PLPC's still have a year or two to go. If it was drinking something without alcohol I might swing for something else, likely a petit corona of some kind.
joeypots Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I always smoke what I anticipate will be the best cigar of the day first when the palate is keenest. 2
