Was interesting to see Jemma pop in and out of all the Zoom events!

My goodness, they are treating this like some kind of revolutionary release. Haven't seen the HSA channel put anything out like this before:

those two HSA videos are marketing overkill.

Thought the same thing. They put a lot of effort (for HSA) into those videos. For a standard EL release! Models, interviewing factory workers, high production values--the amount of effort shown here is remarkable and, quite frankly, strange all things considered.

You should have been at the launch of the Montecristo Open. :surprised:

HSA is a marketing organisation.  Well done in garnering some interest/cut through in a world with plenty of distractions right now.

Logistics (production/distribution) will be another thing all together.

Exactly my point. High effort by HSA seems to be directly proportional to the size of the turd they're attempting to polish.

I actually smoked the Monte Open "turd" that opening night ....and post opening night  several times...before kicking it to the curb.  If it was a decent cigar then I wouldn't have cared if they rolled out a troup of naked dancing dwarf priests  that opening night at the Karl Marx Theatre. :D

I just watched both videos. Wow...talk about hype, I half-expected James Bond to show up in an Aston Martin! ?

Very high production values. They are actually very nice little films. It's clear some money was spent. It blows the Monte Supremos video away. That's what is perplexing. An inordinate amount of effort into these for what? A standard EL release for a standard brand with a standard vitola and 6 months late? Just seems out of left field for one of the three ELs. And the QdO got absolutely no love!

I did occur to me that the other two Edicion Limitadas were neglected in comparison! Good point! ?

I though the videos were good. Nice to see them make an effort at marketing. I am a big fan of RA’s and would love to get a box or two but that probably isn’t likely.

Last to be released. Opportunity and timing.

LCDH / B&M cuban cigar retailers bleeding money in traditional markets since Jan/Feb this year.

Use this release as a reset/refocus.

It was meant to generate interest. It was meant to have customers  ring/email/visit their B&M for probably the first time in 6 months, to have them re-engage,  to talk Habanos. The talk can be good, bad....doesn't really matter as long as they are talking.

Its worked. Nicely executed.

Whats the difference between this and the old RA Belicosos?

The original RA Beli was essentially the pilot cigar for the ER program as we know it through H & F in 2005, although there had been some specific market releases prior such as the 2001 Cuaba Diademas for Italy and the 2005 VR Robainas for Germany.

It stands alone as the only "Exclusive Release" cigar ever released and production numbers were not disclosed. Tobacco used was standard. They are very hard to come by and I suspect very few boxes were produced, maybe only 1,000 or less based on their scarcity even at the time. Definitely one of the most sought-after cigars post-2000.

The 2019 EL RA Beli is using the 2-year aged tobacco with the upper tapado wrapper.

I also enjoyed the videos and am impressed with the box presentation. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to smoke one!
