If you want to have that golden metallic shine then metal pigments (aluminium, brass/bronze) are/were the way to go. Up until the early 20th century, even precious leaf gold had been in use on bands and box dressing’s printing.

But Vrijdag is onto metal-pigment-free metallic effect inks (demands set by the food industry). Perhaps we’ll see less of this issue in the future.

Those look fine, just oxidation.
