Popular Post Wookie Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 Best experience for me was early second week of July when in one day I received about 7 boxes in the mail from our host.....some of which had been backed up since April/Early May due to COVID shipping issues. Got quite the hairy eyeball from my wife that day. 1 6
Popular Post nubase Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 I picked up a box of Bolivar Petit Coronas ETP Feb 17 earlier in June and smoked one pretty close to ROTT in the beginning of July. While the draw was a little tight and I could tell the rest would need some time down, this particular smoke was a real game changer for me. The depth and range of flavors was something that was a very nice change for me coming from mostly mid-range NC's my whole cigar smoking career. I will be jumping back into that box soon, also I am looking forward to trying some more lightly aged stock thanks to great 24:24 selections that have been running over the last couple of months. 9
Popular Post havanaclub Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 This is a tough one for me as I have had several great cigars this month. Toss up between an excellent 2016 connie A and a 2016 PL picadores. Both burned exceptionally well and provided a relaxing experience. If I had to pick I would go with the picadores, as I have always had very good Connie A, so the Picadores really surprised me. It’s a PSP box, the wrappers are gorgeous, smooth and oily. I guess they are just starting to come into their own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 9
Popular Post lovethehaze Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 Erdm Formosa hands down BRO JUN 19. Fabulous. Smoked a few HUPC’s that were also great but the ERDM takes the cake for this past month, so much so I will smoke one next weekend again. CheersSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
Popular Post StogieSteve23 Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 July 4th was a great day. Filled with relaxation, a nice BBQ and setting off fireworks for my cousins kids. They loved it because they got to see fireworks when all public ones were canceled and my fiancé loved it because I was finally able to get some of them out of the house! LOL. Smoked a few sticks that day and everyone was perfect. BUP-JUL-17 Siglo III > ULA-MAR-14 MDO4 > MSU-OCT-18 Coronas Claros.. Everyone was spectacular. 12
Popular Post Chucko8 Posted July 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2020 Siglo V tubo Reg Sep 19. The construction was outstanding, sheen on the wrapper gleaming and taste for such a young cigar amazing! The cigar was just pure class. 6
joeypots Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 Siglo IV, LOA FEB 13. The last one from a good box. 4
Zaxeiler Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Surprisingly, a very mediocre Camacho. But mainly because we had an unseasonably cool night, with a great friend I hadn’t seen since the quarantine started, with some great conversation about our families and life. 2

Popular Post Jonboy4074 Posted August 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2020 This one suprised me. Excellent! 11
Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted August 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2020 Smoking the ERDM Taino on the beach, watching the waves at dusk guzzling some hideously expensive rum cocktails was tops for me! 9
Joeyjojo Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Cuban: Ramon Allones Superiores. My first purchase from Bond Roberts from our host. I tried one a little too early, but the longer they sit, the better they're getting. Super smooth and plenty of RA DNA. I'm almost sorry when i smoke one (well, almost!) as i'll be sorry when they're gone. Non Cuban: Paul Stulac Red Screaming Sun Lancero. This I got from a monthly subscription. One of the most unique cigars I've smoked. Maybe a little full blooded and spicy for some folks here, and not a cigar I'd want a whole box of, but one of those cigars you would want a few tucked away for a change of pace. 2
Popular Post CampDelta369 Posted August 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2020 A total surprise to me since I do not have or smoke too many HDM Epicure. This No.1 was excellent and noted perfect construction and burn in a favorite RG. Cigar of the month. 10
Popular Post Cubadust Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2020 My best experience would be what I think is a Partagas Habanero, I’m not 100% since I’ve had it in my singles box for I don’t know how long. But damn this cigar took me by surprise. Are these considered good as in cheap and cheerful good or did I just get lucky because I absolutely loved it. Sweet cream all the way through. I got close to 50 minutes out of it and it’s the first cigar in a very long time I smoked to the nub. 8
Kitchen Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Upmann Connie A Nov. 2018. It was just a perfect cigar, super smooth and classy. Great Upmann flavors all around without any bumps. Burned razor sharp the entire way down without any touch ups. It was also the first I had from the box, making me look forward to the remaining 24. 2
Popular Post Goodfortune Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2020 Punch Punch SOP NOV 19. My first one from the box that I got on a 24:24 pickup a few months back. Extremely sweet and creamy with some nice vanilla notes. 9
Popular Post David88 Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2020 July was supposed to be a big month for me with a trip to Cuba all planned and paid for from the start of the year....... obviously that didn’t go ahead! But I have been very fortunate to be able to make it back home to the UK for the summer and have enjoyed having the contents of my locker sent out to me (despite having no time to actually sit and enjoy one....). I will put up the collection of pictures in the ‘latest purchase’ thread when all have arrived, but I did particularly enjoy seeing these Du Prince arrive in the post. I think these were one of my first 24:24 purchases and I have been patiently waiting for them to gather a bit of age before diving in. What better time than now! 8
Popular Post Sir Diggamus Posted August 2, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2020 My best cigar experience of July 2020 was the surprisingly fantastic Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs. It was the first one I tried from a BUP SEP19 10 count box. The reason I ended up with picking up the box was because a BOTL sent me one from an NOV '18 box. That one was also a fantastic smoke, full of cream and cherry notes. It had a darker color wrapper, was well constructed with a nice box press. A pic of the '18 sample is below. When I got the '19 box I was hoping for similarly good cigars. When I opened the box I noticed right away that the wrappers were claro in color with dark lines that showed the many veins, not pretty. I was concerned that this was a different beast than the cigar I had enjoyed before that was much more visually appealing. Shortly after the 30 day mark I pulled one out to give it a try. A pic of that cigar is below. I smile went wide across my face right after the first 4 or 5 puffs of the cigar. The flavor profile started with a creamy spice and sea salt. Later there were some wood notes and cherry but the creamy spice notes were there the whole way through. I didn't take any notes on the whole cigar but I was really happy with the result. For a cigar with only 10 months on the box code the cigar showed ZERO harshness or other signs of youth. I can't wait to see how the rest will smoke. I love the experience of cigar blowing away any preconceived notions based on appearance and this was definitely one of those times. 6
