El Presidente Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 I can only assume they are a lot better than the Guantanamera Cristales of today Can you guess at a year/s? 2
JohnS Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 The box stamp suggests pre-1961. The Union seal is dated to post 1931. If they are indeed glass tubes in there, which I think they are, those came about around the mid-1940s. So best guess, that box is dated to a period from circa 1945 to 1960. 1 3
99call Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Yep saw those pop up today, seem legit. Although I believe there have been lots of fake Cifuentes Crystales going around thinking of of giving these a nudge @El Presidente? couldn't help noticing the images were cropped LOL

I would hate any member to be burned simply because we referenced it. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 If the box was empty they would still be better than Guantanamera Cristales. 1 3
helix Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 It is an absurdity that such an awful cigar as the Guantanamera perpetuates.

They refuse to export any so that's what you get. What kills me that they're paying someone to grow that crap while Hector and Hirochi get underpaid and the country has food shortages. 1
Benz1209 Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Probably for the American market selection as I believe that the pencil marking (lll, light, light, light) and the claro wrappers were sold in that market, whilst the English Market Selection used darker wrappers.
