Popular Post cigaraholic Posted June 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 15, 2020 I rarely buy cigars in tubes anymore because the tube seems to add $4 to most cigars...aka $100 a box. Being a cheep so and so I’d rather buy more cigars than tubes. One of the great things about FOH for me is finding out early what cigars are going to be discontinued instead of finding out too late. I love and need coronas, they’re the perfect 1 hr smoke for me and the closest big city that I go to is a 1 hr drive. When I read that this cigar was being discontinued I was able to lay in a good supply. It seems like yesterday, but really almost 20 years ago when the grey market was in its heyday that discontinued cigars were put on sale. I remember one retailer that gave a cab of Punch Super Selection #2 with a $400 purchase ? Today being a lazier than usual Sunday with my weed eater on the IR, I did something I rarely do, have a scotch. The earthy flavor of a Bolivar and the peaty flavor of scotch are a dangerously delicious combination. I can’t remember having scotch with a cigar before, a mistake I will try and make up for. Well filled at 10.3 grams with a snug Cuban draw, this cigar burned perfectly for 70 minutes. Earthy, woody, creamy with chocolate flavor coming in and out, just a perfect pairing with the scotch. I hope I haven’t created a monster ? 11
