Another evening by the fire and later trying out my new Hennessy Deep Jungle hammock for the night so a nice large cigar seems just the thing. Beautiful to look at, very nicely constructed and the cigar's looking good too... It's got a lovely sheen with a hint of red in it. Nice draw. Light hay and vanilla on cold draw.

First pull and I say out loud 'Ooh, creamy goodness '. I'm by myself, that's weird.

1/3 It's a lovely start. Mild and smooth, hay, vanilla and a touch of pepper on the nose. I was wondering if the thunderstorm that delayed my fire (and cigar) by half an hour might have made the air a bit too damp for this large a cigar but it's behaving perfectly. Good burn and a solid ash. Nicely balanced flavours.

2/3 A little milky coffee comes through and conversely there are hints of black tea in there too. At least that's how I'm interpreting the very slight bitterness that has developed out of the earlier pepperyness.

3/3 Slight minty twang, a little twist in that persistent but mutable back note. Still very smooth, still has the heavy vanilla infused cream in the thick smoke. It's been consistent in it's burn despite the worries about the atmosphere, which is a testament to the excellent construction. An upturn in strength towards the end and a final flourish of milky coffee.

Bloody lovely. The fire's put to bed and I'm off to the hammock.

8.5/10 on a scale of skimmed to full fat.

Nice review...informative and entertaining, as always. 
 

I need to revisit these, as this sounds delicious. Tried a single I was given a few years ago, tasted like cardboard so I wrote them off. Must’ve been a dud.
