Jorge is a top guy Full Story https://www.cigarjournal.com/first-book-on-vintage-cuban-cigars-published-in-russia/ FIRST BOOK ON VINTAGE CUBAN CIGARS PUBLISHED IN RUSSIA Russian expert Dimitry Drutsa has just released a book on Cuban cigars, a laudable effort to catalogue vintage Cuban cigars for the Russian smoker. As far as we know, this is the first comprehensive vintage cigar book written and published in Russian language. The book is titled “Vintage Cuban Cigars” and is a respectable 314 pages long. Focused on vintage cigars only, it is not intended to be a primer or cover regular production Cuban cigars, and consists of a compendium of the author’s selected articles on vintage cigars, as well as a collector-ready catalogue of different editions, series and years, including releases up to 2019. 5 1
NSXCIGAR Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 Focusing on vintage cigars only, but including up to 2019? Ok... I guess someone had to do something since the new MRN never has appeared...even less likely since he's been quite busy at his day job lately. Would be interested to see what cigars he's including. Don't need to read cyrillic for that. If it's a unique contribution I hope it does get released in English.
Piligrim Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 actually he's looking for someone who can publish it in English and hopes CJ will help with that. we had talk with Jorge and Reinhart mentioned that.
nKostyan Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 but including up to 2019? Ok... As far as I understand it is also about modern releases of cigars for aging and investment If it's a unique contribution I hope it does get released in English. From Dmitry Drutsa’s comment:"...is not published nothing like this book and so detailed about vintages. If it were not for COVID-19, I would have already translated and the book would have been sold in the States and Europe. Now, apparently, the end of autumn or winter. It is also a reference and generally working tool collector and investor, convenient to carry and I recommend to make notes directly in the book, it still annually updated..."
