Ritch Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Today I took delivery of an S T Dupont Slim 7. Opted for the chrome one and got the old man the gold one. Only used it once so far but the square flame worked a treat lighting my Juan Lopez 2. Perfect all round even light. Kinda shocked me. Slight toast. Gave it a blast and a drag and it was lit perfect. I think the wide flame really helped. The Le Grand of course looks a fantastic lighter and I was sorely tempted. But well... it costs nigh on a grand.
Hammer Smokin' Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 prez, i looked for the cost of the lighter you show....$2K USD. hot damn. really nice lighter though

RDB Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 St Dupont Ligne 2 large. I love love how it looks and feels in the hand, but have to admit that a single flame torch is far more practical. 4

Popular Post khrist_ Posted August 23, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2020 After contemplating dropping $1000+ on a lighter, I pulled the trigger and got my dream lighter, the Dupont Le Grand Cigar Club. I have zero regret and absolutely love this thing. 9

Popular Post El Presidente Posted February 1, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted February 1, 2021 Seeing what has happened to Hong Kong today only increases the significance of this period of history and this lighter. I miss the Hong Kong we knew and loved. To celebrate the return of the British-ruled Hong Kong to the motherland China in July of 1997, ST Dupont created breath-taking series in the award-winning color combination: red and black Chinese lacquer with gold accents. This extremely rare and hard-to-find Limited Edition consists of 1997 line 2 lighters and 997 pens, both fountain pens and the Convertible pen/pencils. The objects are skillfully crafted in precious materials and have "Hong Kong" engraved to reflect the event they are commemorating. 6
Popular Post CaptainQuintero Posted February 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 2, 2021 My old reliable 60's ligne 1 Dupont, I see some lovely new ones but I haven't seen one yet that I'd pick over the old guy £35! 4 1

That’s the problem with collecting lighters. I don’t really use them, so I stopped buying a new one every month. I really like the LeGrand in Blue But some of the reviews suggest they scratch very easily. That would be a concern. In your experience is this true?
bwgan Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I have the one on the right. What is the model on the right? I picked one up at an auction and it's fine away for service. The machining is exceptional, when it's closed you can't see the join line it's that exactSent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

It uses the green gas cartridge.
BoliDan Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 I don't understand the waggle... If someone gave me crap for my "buy one get one free" vortex 3-jet for $13, I'd have a hard temptation to to use an explicative. If I see someone with an S.T. Dupont, sure it's a conversation starter, but conversation with strangers isn't worth that value. I'd rather buy a box of Sir Davids. 4
Popular Post HabanosLuva Posted February 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 4, 2021 I've always been a fan of Dunhill's clean design on their rollagas line. My two favorites are the Palladium dots, and the shagreen. 5 1
