A little tip for you guys.

Women love roses. Red roses. Find them very romantic.

When their birthday comes around, buy them a rose for each year. 24 year old gets 2 dozen 32 year old gets a dozen and half, you can do the math.

Kelly's birthday today I bought a couple couple dozen,

They seem to love this and will typically forgive you for any other misgivings on the day!

It's worked for me over 35 years....

Probably would work for the clever bachelor as well.

Anyone else have a tip?

That's sounds dangerous Mike.

I would have thought you'd stop at 21 roses a year for 15 years, up it to 30 roses the next 10 years, and then maybe dare to start buying 40 roses.

The wife loves lilies. Not only do I try and get her them on her birthday but I randomly bring them home once a month. I can typically get a good deal on them at Costco. Love the flower for each year idea.

Good point. She seems to like the idea though.

Any tips from the Fuzz, bachelor I believe?

Bachelor? Absolutely. I have not found any lady crazy enough to want to be in a long term relationship with me. And if I did, I'm not crazy enough to want to be with them!! :lol3:

I'm not really marriage material.

Haven’t been at it as long as you but going on ten years this September and obviously dated before that. Shortly after we started dating, I started buying her flowers every week. 11 years later, still at it. Always have had fresh flowers in the house. This was last weekend. Costco has great prices for roses and other varieties. Any easy choice.

So....After they turn 25, start subtracting a rose...

Got it and agreed.???

Hate roses. Anything but roses.

Random flowers, moments of surprise have the best effect I’ve found. Birthdays and anniversaries are moments of expected presents. But a random Tuesday is not.

I buy my wife a new purse each year...didn't realize how deep that hole could get when I started; and I used to think Coach purses were expensive. ?  It's been worth it though, it doesn't really mark her age, it's just another new purse day and she's always happy on her birthday.

I was lucky enough to live two houses away from a flower shop before it got turned into a high end restaurant. That flower shop saved my @$$ so many times I lost count. Nothing like messing up or forgetting a date and being able to get a nice bouquet without missing a beat. Not sure if it’s because me and the lady have been together for some time now, or because our new home is miles away from a flower shop, but I’ve noticed she’s been much more moody lately. Looks like some of us need to look into a bouquet of the month club. Fail to plan vs planning to fail...

"...Every rose has its thorn"

I just give her cash and cut to the chase...  That's what she really wants; not some dying flowers.

I was going to go with Dandelions and a six pack of schlitz this year. I'll give your magic ways a try.

If I were to surprise my wife with flowers, the first words out of her mouth would be “What did you do?...” ?

Deception, nodding, ducking and weaving has worked wonders for me so far.

I don't know, seems like it will generate too many questions to answer if one year is missed, for any reason...
