RASS was one of my first box purchases when I got into Cubans. Bought it blind after reading a plethora of positive remarks. I also purchased Partagas shorts along with RASCC. Compared to those smokes, and just in general the RASS was always boring to me. It’s been about a year so I decided to smoke one for this review.

Construction is spot on. Light resistance and beautiful burn the whole way. Cigar starts off light/medium bodied. Some cedar and citrus fruits mingle. Creamy smoke, very smooth. Not bad but... kinda boring.

Cigar amps up a bit midway through and I’m enjoying this more than any previous examples. We are at medium body now. Same notes of spiced cedar, fruits and now a touch of milk chocolate. Nice.

Cigar finishes well. Spice notes along with that chocolate start to dominate. Overall better than the previous examples. Looks like age has helped these some. Still nothing too special to my palate though I’m glad I have half a box to maybe change my mind as time goes on.

91 pts today.
