Popular Post havanaclub Posted April 20, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 20, 2020 This is a cigar that I feel needs at least 5 years down to really shine. My last one which was a late 17 (DIC) was a 90 point cigar, in other words it wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. I can see the potential as it was pleasant, just a tad on the strong/rough side. This had a beautiful rosado oily wrapper and was very well packed. The draw was on the snug side but seemed to burn quite well. It required a few re-fires in the final third. The mag46 is a powerhouse, so I decided to pair it with one too, WT101. 1st: roasted nuts, coffee and already full bodied and full strength. 2nd: not much of a transition, the coffee was more like burnt black coffee or strong espresso. Never really get much upmann shortbread from the 46 but there was a touch of a bready note. Insert picture (Tapatalk won’t let me post the picture in the cigar in my hand for some reason) 3rd: full strength now but still enjoyable. Dark Coffee, pepper, nutty. Cigar went out 2x. Rated 89Still needs more time to smooth out and evolve. I would have rated this just about 90 if it ended after the 2nd. The final third had some burn issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 8
