What do you do with your bands after smoking?

Yes, and I love that photo... had to sneak it in somehow. I read Naked Lunch in my early 20s but didn’t really fall in love with his writing til I read Cities of the Red Night... that love was solidified when I found ‘The Cat Inside’ (I’m a cat man). Just watched a documentary on him too so he’s been on my mind.

I think it may have been used as a candle bowl in the past. Oh well...it's put to good use now! ?

A friend of mine made this for me. 

Solid epoxy ashtray. Not sure how long it’ll last as in if the epoxy is susceptible to heat from ash or cigar resting on it. But it’s a cool present!

Made a coffee table a couple decades back. Pretty much faded out by now.

Throw most away. Toss the special ones in a stein.

After smoking I would place them in a glass jar but than I’ve decided to create a wall art of the cigars that I’ve smoked before. I did one for Cubans and the other for the new world cigars because their bands are simply more gorgeous.

I save my bands whenever possible. I have always thought that someday I will figure out something interesting so do with them. For now they go into a Fuente box



And when that gets full after a while a move them to a ziplock bag. I am sure eventually I will find something cool to do with them.

Haha, similar situation for me. I’ve been meaning to start a tasting note book though.

Some cool ideas here. I save most of mine, flatten them out and keep in a tin until I can do something artsy with them.

I save mine with grand plans to do something with them someday. In addition to the bands I have way too may license plates and smashed pennies to count. .... someday I will figure it out.

Been tossing them in an old glass jar for some time.  There are many great ideas in this post that someday -- I will get creative and make something with them!
