Your cigar of March 2020?

well wasn't that a crappy month 

Still, many of us had a chance to smoke more cigars than usual. 

Which was the one cigar of March 2020 that stood out above all others? 

 

 

My cigar of March 2020 was a PL Montecarlo from 2009.  I am not sure there are better smoking experiences than aged Por Larranaga.

I had an excellent H.Upmann Petit Corona, La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4, two Montecristo No.4's but the best cigar for me for the last month was a 2013 La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.2. (Thank you @ATGroom for gifting it to me!)

On Monday I smoked not just the best cigar of the year, quite possibly the best cigar of my life.

 

Just a simple Epi #2

But from Nov 2005.

It was absurdly good. Better than the Behike I smoked last year.

Not many 15 year Epi #2's kicking around but farking heck was that a great cigar!

My best cigar was a Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro from 2016 or 17 at the patio bar in Varadero! One of those delicious ones that surprises and disappoints you how quick it is over.

Probably the DEC 18 VR Unicor(n)s from the 24:24 earlier in the year.  Not a stunner but really good, and better than anything else I smoked this month.

Siglo V RAE MAR 15

Smooth as silk. Creamy, orange citrus, and Cohiba barnyard; was a delight.

Several very good to great cigars self-isolating since March 3rd.

Bolivar 5ta Avenida 109 RE Germany from the jar. Cracked it open last night, first one out. Amazing!

Partagas Super Partagas 2018...was a total surprise, was only looking for a short smoke with a friend and I only had bigger smokes so a friend offered it to me and I took it only expecting a normal Partagas but I had a brand new fruit sweetness out of it I've never experienced before, it was brilliant all the way through and a genuine surprise.

Close toss up between a Magnum 50 and a Nudie N1, but have to go with the N1.

Was my first time trying one after 90 days rest. Absolutely delicious. Perfect construction, never got hot, and surprisingly the last third was the highlight - all full of citrus, sourdough and earthiness.

Smoked it until I burnt my fingers.

Well I have been taking the life is short advice to heart this month and broke into some sticks I had been saving, for what, I have no idea.  Probably my top this month was a Sancho Panza Regional from Serbia.  Was fortunate enough to get a few in a split a while back.  

 

For regular production my top this month was a Bolivar Royal Corona, a reminder why these should be in my regular rotation!

bought it for a trip to Vegas that didn’t happen. Smoked w a buddy around the corner via Zoom as we were supposed to smoke these together in Vegas. Never thought we would have a two way video HERF instead. 
 

No photos but it happened. Was sublime all the way through although a tad too much nicotine. Had some withdrawals the next day. Still worth it. 
 

a close second was a JL2 ABR DIC 11. Inspired me to pick up a JL1 and. JL2 box in March to age. 
 

good cigar month. Would otherwise like to forget.

Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios from Kenfession Comp sampler is my cigar of March 2020, although I prefer other cigars like Connie A. Highly recommended for those who want sweet tooth Cuban cigars! ?

Same as prez, just not as old - Revisited my box of PLMC EML ABR 14 this past Sunday and I remember why I went through it so quickly (smoked 19 sticks within 4 months until I decided I had to slow down). Pity to only have 5 left!
