Blaming the BBC for not running live sport, is like blaming your fishmonger for not selling potatoes.

I would! A fishmonger not selling potatoes (scalloped and deep fried, that is) should be illegal!!

my good man, there is a world of difference between a 'chippy' and a fishmonger as well you know,   but I know by now,  you are a serial puller of the chain!

As a footnote, it's very funny when London folk and the like, come up to the North and order "Scallops"  they are expecting some sort of balsamic reduction, sweet pea puree, and micro cress.    It's always very enjoyable to see them handed a battered greasy disk of potato.

Here in Aus, many fishmongers do double duty selling raw seafood and also cooked seafood; eg battered or grilled fish, chips, crab sticks, scallops (basically anything they have that can be deep fried or grilled on a hot plate). Depending on which state you're in, they are known as scallops, potato cakes or potato fritters.

Yep, me and the Missus toured Tassie last year, and we almost had to beg people not to put grade A fresh catch in the deep fat fryer.    it was heart breaking,  still tasty as,  but a shadow of what it could of been with a bit of garlic butter, fresh parsley and lemon etc

Did you ask for the balsamic reduction and micro cress?

If I had a toilet.......(which I do)......you can bet your 'bottom' dollar I would charge you every time you took a dump in that bad boy.   who wouldn't?

The BBC is not even sports orientated!? it's mainly arts, comedy, high end documentaries or nature etc. what it produces makes other countries TV look pathetic and amateurish.

If I mainly wanted to watch sports, I would buy Sky or BT sport.

Doh, no I was referring to the TV licence, if you want to watch live anything on any channel you have to pay the BBC for some reason... Hence the pay me to use any toilet because I have a toilet comparison... But anyway, carry on!

No, totally got that part of it,   all I was suggesting, is.....Isn't there a cost for any TV service? At £13 a month, although more than say Netflix etc I still feel it's value for money.
