Thanks to this thread I flew through a box of Monte Subs, and tonight I'm cracking open my last box of Grand Edmundos. Now to find something to pair it with. Maybe I'll open my last bottle of 4 roses Sib from the Jim Rutledge days. 

No sense in squirelling away things for a day that may never come. You can always buy other cigars, but you can't buy a community.

Tainos! Great stick, still a ton of power surprisingly, the middle third had a ton of red pepper which was very out of character for a CC for me!

Sunday smoke of a SLR Lonsdale from 98 which was generously gifted to me by @Habana Mike

When @Habana Mike joined our Chicago herf in the fall of 2019 he generously pulled a LGC Md'Or No. 1 out of his travel case that got fired up and passed around the group. That was a great cigar and a really fun night!

The closest thing I have in my humidor is a No. 2, so here's to you, brother! 

May we all be as generous as Mike, and remember to live life like there is no time like the present!

Reading all the posts this past week one thing has been clear through the remembrances of Mike…we’re all missing out if we aren’t taking advantage of the community available through FOH, whether that is virtual through the Zoom herfs or the get togethers in Cuba (if those ever happen again)

In the spirit of this thread,  I've dug out a 2004 RyJ Exhibicion No 4.  

Wow.  What a smoke!!  Started off with some vintage mustiness and quickly turned into a tasting menu. Nubbed it good. Mike.  I hope that wherever you are, there's an endless humidor full of cigars of old and yet to be.  RIP 🙏

I read my 1st post to this topic from 2020 and said that it was the last of my 2014 Partagas 898’s. It turns out I had one left stashed in the bottom of a desktop. I love the blend, but should have sent the box to @Bijan. Virtually every stick in this box was hopelessly plugged. I had taken a 3/32 Allen wrench and sharpened a small hook at the end. 5 or 6 pokes pre light did the trick! I love these when they’re on, this was one box that nailed the blend, if sucking watermelons thru a garden hose is your thing. The poker I made (specifically for this box) saved them. Pure Partagas, thru and thru...

This was a thread I rather enjoyed while it was going. I’ve always had a tough time smoking those cigars I only have one of. Although I never met Mike, I looked up to him. He was always super nice to me. I’ll be missing him around here. I hope each day I can be more like you. Kind, generous and just an all around good guy. Here’s to you Mike. Life is just to short not to smoke the cigars we collect.

First cigar at home back in Florida following a month in Colorado. MEL JUL 08 Lancero a box I need to smoke more of. Likely the first of a few today watching basketball. Got a few lean cuts of meat as well lol.

First few smokes since October..

Punch 48 RAT AGO20, my first punch. Very tasty, but too fat (not fatshaming) so now I'm on the hunt for punch punch and/or triunfos if they ever show up. The rum was also good, maybe a little too much coconut but overall delightful. From two weekends ago. 

Last weekend; Mdo4 TUA FEB21 and bubbles. I love these, they have something unique going on that I haven't found in other marca. It had a very sweet smell before lighting that I'm still thinking of. 

This weekend; N3 Rosado. Decided that three weeks of rest was enough. The mixture package had a smell of after-eight (minty dark chocolate) when I opened it. That didn't show up in the cigar though. In a way it reminded me of a Padrón natural. 

All in all the weather has been outstanding this month so cigar season is back in business!

With Nino passing I was thinking about Mike as well and this thread. I will likely post a separate review, but today was a great day to try this SLR DC AEP MAR 07 that I traded with @Chibearsv for some other DCs some time ago. Daughter finished first week of her dream first job and I thought I should stop and celebrate while also contemplating some of our brothers.
