Popular Post X-Man
Enjoyed this beautiful cigar last evening. Curious what caused the divot? Despite both bands are moving up and down freely, suspect it is still far from its peak. Plenty of years left in them.

Popular Post riderpride
Final Sub was sacrificed last night. The first box was aged ~5 years prior to consumption and was 'pleased' but not too excited about them (preferred the Grand Edmundo). Got around to opening this box over covid and the last few had matured to what I hoped for back in the day. The profile was mainly an intense chocolate mousse that is so intense it alters your heart rhythm. I gladly burned my fingers for the last few puffs. Cheers all! Sorry for the bad pic.
Popular Post Rhinoww
First Espy for me. Part of a prize pack from our host a year or so ago. Been saving the first one for a special event. Not a RE or a LE, but a special stick for me. Got home late last night after three days in Philly getting my son all set in his first post college home with some of his friends. He’s been working a real job remotely for about a month and now that he’s in Philly he is waiting for the office to reopen. Bird has left the nest. Time for a little celebration and a life marker. His first night supporting himself in a different city and my first Espy. As they say, I will always remember my first Espy. Only a third of the way through and it’s a pure delight. Now I regret not buying a box last year. Lots of barnyard and cream. A touch of honey. A very Elegant first third worthy of the hype. Not even a hint of any bite.

Should have done it years ago. Smoking a cigar when it’s raining is priceless. Hoping the heaters extend cigar season as well. Neighbors call it my office haha
Popular Post inter4alia
Two years since Mike started this thread. Who could have ever guessed what a crazy ride it would be. No matter the circumstances, there really is no time like the present to smoke something extraordinary. Sincere thanks to @Thirds for this beauty!

Might jump out on the porch a little later while the brisket cooks and watch the selection show with a bottle of Illuminated Ancient Magick...and maybe one of my dwindling Partagas Serie du Connaisseur 1s.

Popular Post BTWheezy
What a poignant thread for Mike to have started… For those of us lucky to have Zoomed with him, to those who hung out in person…our lives were a little bit better. No time like the present, indeed. Miss you Mike. Brian
Guest Nekhyludov
I never knew Mike very well, just to chat here and do some trades and passes. And he was always unfailingly decent, kind, and helpful. A few years ago he proxied a box of La Isla for me from one of his trips to the island. One of the many times he extended his hand to me. This seems like a good time to light one up, enjoy some gratitude for having known him, and try to pay forward the kindness he always showed me and so many others. Popular Post Islandboy
It’s the first from my young box, some would say way too young, but if tomorrow never comes, at least I experienced one...in honor of Habana Mike. Popular Post Puros Y Vino
While I've enjoyed this thread over the years, for the life of me I don't understand why I didn't partake. That'll have to change. It's so uncanny how the date of the thread's creation align with his passing. 😔. I just went through the entire thread. Mike sure owned up to the spirit of his post. He left very few boxes unturned/unopened. He cracked open boxes most of us dream of with little regards to their wholesale value on BR! Once again proving, these things were made to be enjoyed, first and foremost. Preferably, with others in person, or if necessary, online. He's a huge credit to this community and his absence will be felt for quite some time. Having begun my FOH journey shortly after the passing of another beloved FOH member; Tampa. I now understand how these losses impacted the FOH community. While some are no longer with us, their words, images and spirit have been preserved here for us to delve into at the click of a button. RIP Mike. 28

Popular Post LLC
Trying to decide what to enjoy in Mike’s honor. Decided on a custom from Cuba so I picked one of my last Monsdales rolled by Mons himself that I got in 2012. It was a special anniversary Monsdale rolled at the time with aged tobacco. much like Mike, this cigar was all class.
