Smoking beautifully...

Raptors win to force a game 7. What a game!!!

Mav, your boys are on a tear!  Another great one....I’ve got no skin in the game, but I’m pulling for the Raps. Nice sticks for the evening, too!

...to smoke those cigars you've kept your hands off of for months or years. Too special. Considering the current state of affairs I am a bit concerned if something drastic happens I may never get

Funny you mention this topic. A couple of months ago I decided I was done buying LE and RE so I started smoking through them every day and have not touched any regular production in a couple of months

Finally broke down and cracked my last box of the Grandes de España, this box from 2005. Glad I did, they're really good!

Man. Tonight’s game was a nail biter. Good to see Gasol, Powell and Ibaka find their scoring touch. Need Siakam to get over these playoff blues for us to have a chance to win game 7. Lowry played lights out tonight.

Thanks for the compliment on the cigar. I’m going to drink some scotch to calm my nerves now. Lol.

Go Raptors!

Mike, GREAT thread idea.  The sentiment behind it is very true also.

I always try to bring a couple of old/rare/special-occasion smokes with me whenever I'm on a work trip somewhere to a sandy or secluded spot on the globe.  Something to smoke just day to day when/if I get a chance, but I also try to bring something special for either after a job well done, or if things go south, a last smoke to enjoy.  Seems morbid, I know, but it is what it is.

I brought 20 or so sticks with me on this trip, and I'll have to share some pics later.  Some '08 CoRo's, some aged QdO Coronas (06's?) and Imperiales ('07's?), a RA CF RE, a 2011 Monsdale, a 2009 Trini Fundadores, and a couple of '04 Dip No 4's.

We'll see how they smoke shortly.

Great code for Upmann!

That’s a nice run of cigars Mike. Which would you rank no. 1 out of all of them?

Behike was great for a truly special occasion cigar.

Diplo Excelencia was just that though!

Holy cow, Brother! That's quite the lineup.

So the BHK...do you think they're really worth the price? Do you smoke em often, or is it more of a very special occasion thing? I haven't had the pleasure and I like to ask different people what they think about them. CHEERS

Worth the price I paid, perhaps. Not what I see them going for these days!

I enjoy them though believe they're not the same as the ones when they. first came out.

Rarely smoke one except for special occasions.

Hi Habana Mike,

is there a big difference between the FdC Espana and FdC Paiso ?
and which one would you prefer?

Well, there is the size difference, 52 x 4 1/2 vs 50 x 4 7/8 - not really enough to matter though I found the Paises Bejos Robustos more approachable at this stage.

Both good smokes.
