cigarzfan Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Do tubos need the same amount of time to acclimatize as other cigars after international travel? 1
pedro849 Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I had the same question. I would think so since they will undergo temperature fluctuations.
cigarzfan Posted February 27, 2020 Author Posted February 27, 2020 Good point, but I was thinking acclimatization had more to do with humidity control than temperature control. With a closed tube environment, I imagined that there would be a lot less humidity flux and therefore less acclimatization. But that was just a guess/theory. 1
TheCigarslayer Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 Because tubos raise the probability of mold I always take them out of the tubes on arrival, inspect then treat them like normal cigars. Seem to come over humidified more than under so they get the standard minimum 60 days before I'd even touch them 1
Hollywood Ninja Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I do 90 days with the cap off, then store long term with the cap back on as legend has it that tubos age differently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
