Popular Post HDGSN Posted February 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2020 N3 Carlota Review Rested approximately 75 days Paired with Oskar Blues One-Y Hazy IPAs First and foremost, the format is ideal. This, Dalias and Laguito No. 1 are all I really need. Cold draw - wow just loads of sweet black tea. Those familiar with Southern sweet tea will know. 1st Third - nice mix of sweet and savory. Bready with some of that Partagas spice it was blended for Lots of cedar Under medium after having a HURR Construction is impeccable. Every cigar should have this draw and burn. Losing the spice and turning “smooth” - bit of Hoyo Epi 2 with woods and cream Ash not as white as most other reviews Bit of leather and nuts and rosemary toward the end. Neither distinctly Cuban nor non-Cuban flavor. Would be a tough blind guess. This is an every day cigar. Headed for a few pints at Happy Hour? Grab this. Headed to the golf course? Grab this. Want a nightcap cigar? Grab this. 8 1
El Presidente Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Thanks for the great review! I think you nailed it. With the N3 we wanted an everyday cigar. We wanted a work horse cigar, a cigar that you would reach for consistently because it would form part of your every day rotation.

Never having got around to trying the Partagas SdC No. 3 before it was discontinued, I have no reference point on the N3’s influence. That said, the N3 came in well above my expectations knowing its origin. It does not smoke like Nicaraguan tobacco to me...no harsh leather/prunes and ashtray aftertaste. There was some flavor transition there (though the tea/cedar/cream would work the whole way) and just an enjoyable smoking experience with the format, strength and construction. I haven’t had blends where I know the makeup, but my guess is there is a good bit of seco in there. These will be gone by 2021 - hopefully just in time for the next release.
