Popular Post El Presidente Posted February 8, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2020 Yasuo Kunyoshi (Japanese/American, 1889-1953), Cuba Series, circa 1940, ink and pencil on paper, unsigned, sight: 7"h x 11"w, overall (with frame): 14.75"h x 18"w. Note: Letter from Mrs. Yasuo Kunyoshi authenitcating this piece accompanies this work as well as a copy of the NYT from 1940 where the artwork apparently was used in an advertisement for Cuban cigars (which was rare, for any commercial art of Kuniyoshi). 9
