Preflight

Perfect wrapper, draw

 

Beginning 

Creamy cocoa, but less woodsy  than a #2 start. Comparable body

 

Middle

Burn gets a bit wonky but no big deal. Continued creamy mocha flavor. Strong reg production Monte DNA but I’d like to think it’s a bit smoother blend. 

 

Finale 

Profile remains consistent....develops a bit of astringency. Overall the chocolate notes in this series gives a sweet/savory balance lacking in the regular production stick. Good cigar but not sure worth the premium over reg production Montecristos. I love them both. 91-93 points.

Too bad. I Have a 1935 sampler from our host, and Hoped they would be a flavor bomb compared to regular production....specially for that price

I don't think you will be disappointed. There is a difference in profile. The sweet mocha is something in the 1935 that is distinct from ref production. Very pleasant.
