Am curious if anyone has info on the Punch ManTua Italy regional. I like the size, laguito no 2, and the fact that they come in cabs of 50. Photos online look enticing!

Haven't heard much... Limited edition of 2000 50 cabs, scheduled for release in march.  ~$1000 per cab.

Sounds like a winner.  50 cab regional in Italy sounds novel.  They get some of the coolest regionals.

ManTua? Is it an Italian RE or a South Pacific RE?

Somebody must know more about what that means and why they've named it that, right?

Kudos to the distributor for picking a nice vitola and package format. $20 a stick is a lot for a cigar that size, but compared to other recent regionals, its not crazy. Hopefully they're good cigars.

CITY OF MANTUA - The cigar is named after the historic city of Mantua (Mantova in Italian), which is known to be the country's 'Capital of Culture' as of 2016. The city itself is a hub for architectural treasures, natural beauty and the arts - thousands of tourists flock here to marvel at sights of grand palaces, Renaissance-era buildings and its intriguing opera houses. There's no better place to portray luxury than the city of Mantua, and therefore, making it the perfect name for Habanos' latest release.

Ta-daa!

Never heard of it. Haha Thanks for the education, I'm assuming Mantua is the Spanish spelling/pronunciation?

12 eur/stick, not $20. The pricing you likely saw from a certain retailer is hugely marked up.

Wow, down right affordable for an ER, especially in that size and packaging. Even more Kudos to the distributor.

Have to give lots of credit to Diadema SPA for really innovating with the ERs.

These look great--cool bands and one of my favorite vitolas;

If these are half as good as the La Escepcions(especially the SF) than they'll have another winner on their hands. I like that these bands are similar, but distinctive to the La Escepcion bands. I am usually at the front of the line when it comes to poo-pooing LEs/ERs, but I wouldn't be if releases like this where more common.

I'm most intrigued...if they can be had at close the EUR600 official price.

Sadly, I have few, if any, Italian connections, so I'm likely out of luck. There are a couple of longshot possibilities I'll try though. :)

Just repeating the price I heard from someone else on here earlier, thanks for clearing that up.  In that case they'll be closer to $13.25US.  Much better.

These will be in the Kon Tiki range very soon beyond $2300+ a cab. Unless you have a connection in Italy or travel there, seems very unlikely to get a cab remotely close to the 600 Euro MSRP. 900 Euros is an absolute steal from afar.

Agree. Went deep on the La Esepcion SF’s, still enjoying them today.

I doubt that - Kon Tiki is a larger and extremely popular format, there are half as many boxes made and it is quite a bit harder to get them than RE from Italy. Even the Selectos Finos took years and a jar release to sell out and go above $1200/25 where they seem to have leveled out. Time will tell.

Any Italian BOTL’s on the forum? Saw them for pre order for 950€. That seems like a pretty steep mark up to me. For 600€ , it’s a no brainer.

I know who you mean. Please do not support this...those guys mark up everything they stock enormously. I don't even know how they stay in business...

The only stuff they don't mark up is their areas regionals... Cos they can't!! Good service in the shops and delivery, but the mark up on all the other regionals is eye watering. How they stay in business?? Easy, super profit margins supplying people who will pay for it!!
