Full-bodied:

1. Partagas Shorts, big and bold for such a small smoke

2. Bolivar PC, likewise

3. JLP anything, like a strong black filter coffee that's been sitting for a while on the heater

4. Mag 46, bold

5. Young D4/Libertadors tied 5th, full body, full flavour

Light: not actually that many much below medium for me and while some are light-bodied they are definitely full-flavoured ..but if I had to, I'd probably say

1. ERdM little ones, Er, I forget the name...

2. Hoyo DC, for the first 2/3rds anyway

3. Sancho Belicoso

Er, that's about it.

Current full-body Cubans for me BT3, QB, Noellas, the odd Reyes and BCJ

Forgot BT3. Good call. And sure, Noellas are full in a similar way to Connie A.

For me, the Noellas is a pretty good notch above ConA. At least the ones I've smoked of both.

The only Cuban cigar I've had that I would consider was a Bolivar Soberano. And to be honest, maybe it was as much because it was young, as it is the flavor profile. When I first started smoking CC I kept waiting for that flavor bomb that slapped me in the face like many of the full-bodied Nicaraguans. I have not had that happen yet.

For mild to medium - damn near everything I've smoked from Cohiba, Montecristo, RyJ, HdM, RASS, PLPC, JL2, Punch...I mean...everything. All of it.

Edit - Not that I'm particularly smart, but I'm quite surprised to see the number of people struggling with the difference between strength and body. Maybe I'm bass-ackwards, but everything I hold to believe to be true says body is about flavor, intensity, (ugh...I hate this phrase) "mouth-feel". Strength is the nicotine buzz. Anywhere from "I feel nothing" to "I am going to eat the sugar bag, close my eyes, and not have a single food thought for 2hrs. Why do I do this to myself." I've had a number of strong cigars from Cuba. I have not had many at all that I would consider full-bodied.

Hmm...nicotine is an odorless, tasteless chemical. Not sure why that's coming up at all. You might get a lingering buzz from it or a queasy feeling on an empty stomach but taste-wise it's indiscernible. In fact, CCs are said to have the lowest nicotine levels of all cigar tobacco.

Strength is dictated by ligero leaf or perhaps high-primed seco. It's the nose spice, the sting, the intensity. Punchiness.

Fullness is the body of the smoke. The fullness of flavor. The coating of the mouth. When the smoke is almost chewy. Thick.

So we are talking "full" as in nicotine strength or as in flavor? Because if we are talking nicotine, I'm out. For some reason, I dont get hit with cigar nicotine EVER. I hear people talking about having a full stomach or needing sugar for "nic sick"...nope. Dont know why that is.

Smoke a fresh HdM DC, in about 45 mins, you will understand then.
