Partagas Presidentes from our host. I've dipped into a few boxes over the years, but haven't come across any with such dark wrappers. Just a low sample size? Or have others found many with dark wrappers?

My box looks almost the same - and I can remember that the other boxes I could choose from in the Casa del Habano in Munich / Germany looked the same, colour-wise.

Thanks for the feedback, Phil. My last box purchased in April was light wrappers, and that held true until these.

I think my BPC and BCJ are on the opposite end of the color spectrum. Smoking well though so no complaints.

Out of the 9 boxes of bolivars I have bought, these are BY FAR the darkest. I have a MSU 19 box that's way lighter. It'll be interesting to compare when I do get around to smoking these!

Remember these from early December 24:24? PSP La Fuerza (RAT DIC 19) and Unicos (GEM JUL 20). From La Corona and Upmann factories with new codes. Green dots confirmed as a new PSP colour. Couldn’t be happier with these, but will have to be patient!

Nice to see some 10er come in from our host.
Excited to try the Punch and see what the hype is all about. I love the la isla punch and figured they are a very similar size and likely the same thing. We will see soon I guess.

Arrived this morning.Not as dark and oily as I would like them and the scent is not as strong. I was wondering if travel and cold weather will impact the tobacco. It is -4 degrees Celsius here in Shanghai.

Rest them a couple weeks and check them again.  In my experience cold cigars do not have as strong aroma as those stored at room temperature. I notice a difference between 55f and 70f.

Which will taste better?  Dark or light? Punch SDP Both RAT MAR 20 - can’t wait to try. Have been loving these.

Good mail day today:  2 boxes of Boli CJ's (MSU JUL-19) and 1 box of JL 1's (MTS ENE-20).  I'm betting that the old UTL code is now the new MTS code effective December 19.

Last of my 2020 boxes arrived. Coloniales (BST FEB 20) and Vigia (MTS JUL 20). Slowly working my way through the Trinidad marca - think my next box will be Esmeraldas.

They look v good too. If it was a choice between quality and age then quality every time: an aged box of duff cigars are still no good. But those should be delicious.

After two singles I was brave enough to order a box of those hunters. 
The two I had of course were not light and creamy, but not as deadly as described by some others. Instead, full of cuban taste. That moment when you open up the wrapper....
