Wow a Precidencia! I haven't smoke one of this for a while... 

I have been told they are given as diplomatic gifts in Cuba. 

There are three sizes a 109,a Lancero and a Piramide only had the latter ones?

I now have a May 2016 box code from my daughters birth month. I’m a pretty sentimental guy when it comes to my daughter so this means a lot. Again thank you to all involved.

My very 1st box of Sir Winston just arrived. Pictures don’t do them justice and they were a little tired from their delayed travel. Will be laying them down for a long recovery nap. Can’t wait to try one!

@GVan lovely looking boxes of the very best value smoke out there. Nice to have slightly different shades too. You can smoke the paler while waiting on the darker.

RDB - Thanks and agree with your assessment!  I'll leave them alone for at least 6 months and then try one from the lighter box.  Probably going to be another two years or so to get that full caramel flavor I'm looking for but, you never know.  Several members here seem to find the right box that smokes well before 5 years.  Only time and periodic taste testing will tell.

2 Deliveries received in 2 days -- "Gotta be a record"!  Boli PC's (MSU MAY-19) & (MSU JUL-19).  The May box has lovely rosado wrappers and the July box has lots of oils and a dark brown, shiny wrapper.  Should be interesting tasting the differences in these two boxes about 2 to 3 years from now .....

 

I noticed after I posted that the box codes are reversed with the pictures.  The July is on the left and the May on the right.

I think I just got very lucky! So the original 24:24 for these was around a month ago for Monte 5’s that were mostly box codes BOE JUN 2018 and OSU AGO 2018, this box is of UEB NOV 2017! Not only an extra 6 months of age, but from what I have seen, it looks like UEB are consistently top end production! I didn’t know if anyone had Monte 5’s from 2017 as well? Very excited to get into these and was wondering if anyone else thinks I got as lucky as I think I did?
