Surely a thread of its own. 11 hours ago, VKUTT said: I would also love to know, and I also think an FYI thread on these would be great! The story isn’t all that interesting. A collector in Europe had these and decided to sell them. He has a number of boxes like this that are pretty incredible. We haggled for a while, I was able to get some tubos from the 70s with these as well. One of which is a 1974 Churchill Tubo, that should be interesting. I am an absolute whore for 50 cabs, especially discontinued ones. This one is interesting for a couple of reasons. As already stated, this is the JFK cigar of choice. It’s an interesting selection for a President. It’s really opposite of Winston Churchill and his ubiquitous Julieta #2s. The Petit Upmann is a small, machine rolled smoke on the other end of the spectrum. Regardless, the story of Pierre Salinger acquiring over a thousand of these, the night before the embargo has always been interesting to me. I’m a big fan of HU, and although I have reservations about machine rolled cigars, they are probably disparaged unfairly. This was a historic box unlike any of my other 50 cabs. The aroma of these blew me away, really it took my breath away. My biggest challenge now is what to do with them. Breaking up the 50 cab seems to be a crime, but I’m sure I will in the next 6 months or so. Maybe one of these will find their way into a future box pass. 6 3

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted November 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 10, 2019 I came home this morning to a couple of 2014 boxes from our host. Brushing off a little mold is a small price to pay. The color of the D4 wrappers are perfect. 17

Popular Post Markspring1978 Posted November 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2019 My apologies in advance for the myriad of photos, but this is a biggie for me. This is my holy grail. I am a self avowed 50 cab whore. On top of that I’m also a Coronas Grandes whore. This is the intersection of my whoredom. All the better...I won the auction of this sealed cabinet on my birthday. Aroma is bliss. If I could go back in time to 2003, I would buy 100 of these. 33 1
Burningman Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Awesome find @Markspring1978! There's just something special about those cabs with naked cigars. 1

Popular Post cbaty08 Posted November 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2019 Not a purchase, but thought this thread might be an OK place for this. Received my weekly contest prize and am super excited, as I haven't tried any of these! Thanks @MoeFOH and @El Presidente. 18
Popular Post Subcomandante Posted November 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2019 These were mixed up in the mail for awhile so they probably need a little longer rest but after waiting I’m so tempted to ROTT one. Will I have the will power? 14

Popular Post FireMedic Posted November 13, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2019 The H.Upmann's finally arrived after a few trips back and forth from one continent to another. Couple of caps seemed to have been sheared off but the upside down printing on the box, all Cuba! Some beautiful Cohiba from 2016 and a prize pack from our host, which happened to be an amazing 3 pack!! Cheers! 16
