I haven't posted in here for quite some time and thought that it would be nice to share some vintage cigars that just came in. I like to collect and smoke as many different vitolas de salida as possib

I don’t normally post my purchases but, aside from the Nudies bundles I ordered, the Lanceros will probably be the last cigars I receive for a while. The other two are highlights from my last few orde

Going to have bring them out for review.

Upon further review, one cigar’s symmetry is just a touch off.

They look fine to me.  Figurados with some age on them can be a little loose in the box.

Plus, and more importantly, they are from one of the most trustworthy vendors in the business.

Oh yeah, wasn’t questioning authenticity. Just not experienced enough to have seen that much space in a full box.

There is often shrinkage over time.  The same reason why cigars in aged boxes often have bands that just fall off the cigars.  The looseness in the box can be even more pronounced in figurados, which dont fit perfectly in the box in the first place.

Its a "Pirámides" = feet are touching, heads are "loose" in the box.

‘11 Trinidad Robusto Extra.  These were my favorite regular production cigars.  I found a partial box of 2011s in a little cigar shop in Vancouver.  The price was a little hefty, but I picked up 2 of them.

These were my favorite as well, nice find!

Agree with sigmund and fugu's assertions. They're completely fine. Let's not start thinking like the folks who discount the legitimacy of a cohiba because the 'can see a vein'. Let's also acknowledge that TOS XXX 15/16 is one of the best-performing codes as of late. EL was turning out some really great stock in 15/16. If those p2s perform anywhere near as well as the principes I've smoked from TOS 16 boxes, you're definitely in for a treat. Though the p2 is a bit mild (as partagas' go) for my personal tastes, I'm sure those'll be quite pleasant to whoever smokes 'em...

Edit: I've been SO impressed with TOS 15/16 boxes, I've actively hunted principes with those codes. I even bought my first box of psd4s in AGES recently (which i've otherwise been rather bored by, since the strain changes) simply because I was able to get a TOS 16 code. I'm willing to gamble that they'll remind me of their former brutal glory. fingers crossed.
