Never heard of that.   Ever.  

Also, never took the cork out of any of my jars and still no mold on any.  Mold forms where water droplets gather.   If there’s a marked temperature change condensation can occur inside the jar, so I open mine in the humidor for a few weeks after I get them home and, once acclimated, I close the jar.
