There's just something amazing about a great Cohiba Tubos.  This was from a trade with @Jimmy_jack and I have to say I just can't stop looking at it.  They're nearly perfect.  It's unfortunate I know how much better they are with 5 years age on them because otherwise I would be killing this with fire tonight.  Just had to share.  Marvelous El Laguito rolled CORO Tubos.

I bought a box last month. I'd also never had anything that thin, aside from like cigarillos or italian cheroots. I've been very pleased with the box. Lots of richness, and a decent amount of complexity. Long smoke duration.

A small pickup this weekend in DR:

-BHK 54 AMO AGO 16. Grabbed these from the Duty Free at POP airport. They had slim pickens, that once was a decent shop. This is the most recent BHK I have bought, they smell great. 

-Gifts I picked up while there:

--a no name Double Corona given to me by an awesome guy I met that lives in the fields in Villa Gonzalez, a major tobacco growing area in El Cibao. It is a Dominican puro that he said is "basically wrapped with a binder". I smoked one right away, was super good. This will go in the "special cigar" humi and be smoked in a few years. 

--a few no-name double robustos given to me by my fiancee's aunt who works in the cigar biz. Can't tell where the wrapper is from but they seem great. 

--A Fuente "Don Carlos" personal reserve...ironically the "actual" personal stash of Don Carlos (may he RIP) do not come w the second band. The gentleman who threw me the cigar as he passed me walking on the road has given me some of finest cigars I have ever had over the years. A great friend. 

--Some ugly looking double tapered deal that is designed to be cut in half and smoked from either end. I smoked one half...tasted alot better than it looks! And feels a little like you're smoking a joint or something.
