Connoisseur Kim Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I noticed that the owner of my house literally banned in room smoking for all residences, which is extremely unfortunate ?. Also, like most of the B&Ms around the world, some Korean B&Ms don't even allow bringing own cigars at all ?. So, in order to do keep posting CC reviews, I'm decided to get travel cigar ashtray for a peace of mind. There are three options come across my mind: Getting CIGARISM Cigar Stand, and use small deep stainless bowl as a cigar ashtray (all round option IMHO). Getting CIGARISM Cigar Stand only, and use tobacconist shops' or cigar pubs' ashtray (some of them have generic ashtray only). Put good ole Stinky Cigar Ashtray to my laptop bag (definitely bulky as hell) I'll definitely use my laptop bag to put my cigar tools and travel tupperdor, as I'm going to bring my laptop to post CC reviews at B&Ms due to strict house owner ☹️.
Colt45 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I would surely use the ashtrays provided in a lounge / shop. If outside, an altoids (or similar) tin. Ashes and cigar butt go in, close lid, let cool, throw the whole thing in the trash. 1
Meklown Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I personally always do option #2, doesn't matter where my ash ends up as long as it's safe (no ember risks). Cigar stand also not always necessary unless you often like to put it down for a bit! 1

But, will altoid tins can take ashes of long cigars such as Churchills and Double Coronas? I can wash these tins, and reuse them if I want to (I always wash Stinky Cigar Ashtray after using it). 14 minutes ago, Meklown said: I personally always do option #2, doesn't matter where my ash ends up as long as it's safe (no ember risks). This would be useful when I go to B&Ms that allow bringing own CC stash or tobacconist shops (they sell cigars and pipe tobaccos, and have smoking lounges too). Thank you for providing helpful suggestions! 1

BeerPimp Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Do you have access to a 3d printer? This one actually looks fairly functional. I just started printing one. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2205192 1

I had to start printing a Baby Yoda figure for a friend before I could start this. I will print it next and get back to you how well it prints and how well it seals when the lid is closed. I should get it printed tomorrow so I will post back here with pictures. 1
Ryan Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 I always carry one of those little folding stainless steel cigar stands with me when having a cigar. I then use whatever ashtrays the pub/place has. If you need a full travel ashtray, these look pretty good. Made by Stinky. https://www.amazon.com/Stinky-Cigar-Car-Ashtray-Stainless/dp/B016AVKUNO 2

Now that I've seen it, I'm going to get one myself, for the beach. I know cigar butts are organic and will break down fairly quickly, but I don't like leaving anything on a beach. 1

Used it on Friday night at my mother-in-law's condo. Worked very well for sealing the stinky butt in until I could pitch it. Works well at the beach too, I take it with me now every time. I don't like leaving litter on the beach. I'll definitely look for that ashtray ?! Btw, will it work well with DCs and Churchills too? I also wonder whether it stands on any surface or not (I saw it flips over except cup holder from reviews).
Connoisseur Kim Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 I just thought about alternative version of Stinky Car Ashtray: using tin jars and CIGARISM Cigar Stand. It is cheap and good as Stinky Car Ashtray (CIGARISM Cigar Stand will do its job), so I'll absolutely go that route except when I post CC reviews in cigar lounges, cigar pubs, tobacconist shops with smoking lounge, as they have ashtrays.
Connoisseur Kim Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 It will hold a Churchill, haven't tried a DC yet. Yes, it will tip unless in a cup holder, or in the sand I just set it on its side like in my pic, and it works well. Thanks buddy!나의 SM-N950N 의 Tapatalk에서 보냄
