Popular Post teamrandr Posted December 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 26, 2019 This beautiful skinny is sporting the classic Colorado wrapper. The aroma at cold is quite frankly fantastic. Cocoa mixed with straight coffee bean. A bit of burned sugar in there. Just smelling this bad boy is exciting. The cigar is well constructed. Cold draw tastes of cocoa/tobacco. The cigar is firm but doesn't feel overfilled. I had a wonderful Christmas with my Great Aunt Lida on the old family farm. I grabbed this stick to review for the fine folks at FOH. 1/3 Toasting the foot brings the classic Havana aroma. Very pleasant and a great way to set the tone. There is a Graham effect happening. That is a slight s'more Graham to be exact. This blends well with the mocha notes on the end. To start it is light bodied. Flavors are nice. Perfect burn so far. The draw is slightly tight. Mocha is more pronounced at this point. I still get an underlying graham/cinnamon. Retrohale is excellent. It highlights the Graham flavor. We are approaching halfway. This has been a wonderful Christmas cigar. My Aunt Lida told me about how her Dad used entertain guests around the fireplace and they would smoke cigars. I didn't smoke one by it but I sure wished I could have. She wouldn't appreciate the smell anyway. I did appreciate the fact we were burning apple wood that was 20 years old. The sweet aroma was so pleasant. A beautiful fireplace built in 1948. The stones were dug up from the fields by my Great Grandfather. The wood from the old orchard long gone. 1/2 way now! This thing is wonderful. The draw is spot on now. Still light bodied but the flavor has depth. Every draw leaves you picking out flavors. I get molasses cookies with mocha mixed in with the graham that has been there from the get go. I must mention of course there is a fine toasted tobacco that is there. 2/3. I would give this an A+ in terms of development. The flavors have progressed and branched out. The core s'more and coffee is there with little nuances of cookies with cinnamon and cloves. The flavors have no edges. They are crisp. The finish is leaving my palette very clean feeling. I have no complaints. Today was a great day. This cigar is a nice way to relax and soak it all in. A slight pick up in body. Specifically it is moving more into the mocha zone. The Graham is still hanging out in there. The smoke is mild yet delicate. These prove "bang for the buck" so to speak. Not too mention the fact it is a skinny vitola that many Havana connoisseurs seek. This format is great. Habanos if you happen to read this ,"Keep making these!" 3/3 The flavors are more robust. A bit more body. The smoke is still mild. It leaves the palette feeling clean. This to me is a sign of tobacco that is aging well. Many aged smokes I have tried have had a bit of an off putting palette coating effect. These in my opinion will be great for decades. The mocha aspect has been the dominant flavor towards the end. This is welcomed. I have zero complaints about this stick. The value is there. The class is there. 90 Merry Christmas! 9

BlueRidgeFly Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Good stuff, enjoyed reading that. Got three of these in Amsterdam last June. Two left and I'm rationing them until I score more because the first was very good.
