I saw these on the Tuesday 24x24 this week and moaned so loud that Agnes handed me her credit card. Holiday gift sorted!

I usually wait til after Christmas when it goes on sale.

I'm a big kid at heart, so what I bought for my friend's kids, I also bought for myself! Pew! Pew! Pew! Of course, Uncle Fuzz has to have the bigger, more powerful version! Can't let t

What are you buying yourself for Christmas? :cigar:

Let's face it, 99% of the time, the only decent gift you receive is the one you have organised  .......or the one you bought  yourself. :D

.

gee, there's incentive to Di to try and do something special.

Nothing. We are so broke that we aren't having a Christmas this year. My husband started a new job Friday, but we don't get paid til the 30th of Dec. TBH I don't know how we are going to make it til then. Having a Christmas isn't even an option.

I have met some very nice people in my short time on here. And I don't know what I was thinking, but clearly I am WAY out of my league being on a page like this. I fully admit that it's tough to see someone buy themselves a Rolex for Christmas when I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to buy groceries for the next 3 weeks. So I will be closing my account. Take care everyone, enjoy your smokes, and remember to always be thankful for what you have. ❤❤❤

No need to close your account, good times come - good times go but so do the bad times I've been where you are I'm sure the majority of people on here have as well and most of us would probably never rule out the unfortunate chance that we could land there again. This is a good forum full of good people.

You'll get through. As stated above, I'm sure plenty of us, myself included, have been in your situation or similar.

It's all about perspective as well. I've spent many a holiday working, without family. I'm currently in a combat zone, and this will be year #4 I have missed the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We get rockets shot at us quite a bit, so don't get it twisted, this isn't exactly an idea place.

Enjoy what you have, your health, and family. Life is short, and it's not all about material things

I plan to buy this Muaviel 250C Paella Pan, a William Sonoma Exclusive.  That last thing I probably need is another Paella pan, but this one is the grail of a pan.  I have a bunch of other Mauviel 250C's and they are just the cat's meow when it comes cook ware.

Either an iPhone XR (last years model) OR a new iPad. I have a relic for a phone. But I kind of like it because no one is texting me and calling me all day long, I leave it in the car. Don’t know if I want to be that connected. Especially when I am in line at the grocery store. I hate those people. I am pretty much retired. Think I will go with the ipad.

So I decided to take a chance, and I bought myself the Elie Bleu cigar case... And immediately, the dog came to check out his new chew toy.

Any drawers handy? ?

edit: it just occurred to me ol' JB (brown lab, RIP) would just open whichever drawer contained the desired content and remove whatever he wanted, so I feel your pain if this is the case.  Perhaps you could tie a string to it and dangle it from the ceiling just out of reach... hours of ceaseless entertainment

I bought an XS earlier this year, and tried to love it as I bought a brand new macbook pro as well and....just couldn't. Love the macbook, but after a few months of trying with the iPhone, I sold it on ebay and went with an s10+ instead.

I have never seen him open a drawer, but we usually don't put things that smell good in drawers.  He opens the garbage, which is basically a giant drawer.  At night, I have to put a chair against the cabinet with the garbage can in it.

Actually, there are a lot of places I can put it where he wont be able to get it, but I’m sure I will slip one day and just leave it out on a counter or on top of the humidor.

? the main drawer in question was the sliding trash can... wound up installing a latch after the corn-cob incident of 2018.  The sad fact is that even if you're careful 99% of the time they always catch you slipping as soon as the other 1% rolls around

I ordered myself a "rat head" cap with controllable ears like in this video. I will entertain my family and friends at the celebration of the new year-the year of the rat on the Eastern calendar

I backed several boardgames on Kickstarter earlier on in the year with add-ons that will all be arriving in the next 2 months. That is what I am considering Christmas to me

Xmas and my birthday in january coincide with write off season. I had a good year this year so bought a new topcoat and 3 new made to measure suits. I can probably write off my annual golf membership too so likely I will re up that before the 31st as well. Lucky to be in a business where things I like are write offs.

Don't forget about all of those cigars that you bought this year to thank clients and referral sources....

I need to meet your accountant. I only had the stones to write off 100 sticks last year. Maybe this year I'll be braver.

What the heck is wrong with Amazon? I have rarely bought anything from them, but this huge box arrived the other day...

1.thumb.jpg.0def824d87b3badd7999c1485ff42555.jpg

Plenty of protective packaging...

2.thumb.jpg.d99aa4279c4d038bc61a0865a9154431.jpg

Just one item in the box (ok it is long, but still).

3.thumb.jpg.8151281b65bd90e3d6a14f1b83791162.jpg

And yes, that is one of the toys I decided to give to myself.

My birthday is actually exactly a week after Christmas so I decided to put them as one!

My current wallet is in a pretty bad shape after 4 years of using it. Have a good friend who is on vacation in Milan and he helped me to buy a wallet back! Price is definitely cheaper in Milan + the VAT refund saved myself about $300 Singapore dollars
