BeerPimp Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 I forgot to mention that my aunt always brings one of my favorite sides to every holiday party which is Deviled Eggs. I would imagine a majority of Thanksgiving celebrations included these.

Wilzc Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Crazy busy Thanksgiving weekend capped by a herf session with the boys. Highlight was of course Heiko’s presentation of his highly.... coveted... highly priced white carbon fiber cigar ‘attaché’ which costs over USD20,000 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5thStarChicago Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 This is more of a recap as today is the final day of my Thanksgiving season. Thanksgiving day started off at Up Down. We are officially closed on Thanksgiving but since my food & friends plans were later, I invited some of the guys over to watch the Bears game at the store over a cigar. My business partner and I tried to smoke custom rolled salomons but neither would draw worth a damn. I switched to something else but can't remember what it was. Here's our Up Down Breakfast of Champions with a 2015 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout Rare Edition. The crew of Thanksgiving "Orphans" watching 2 bad football teams duke it out: From there a few of us when out to the burbs. Amy (my cigar smoking girlfriend & chef) had been prepping for a couple of days as Thanksgiving is her Super Bowl. My "help" consists of showing up on time and staying out of the way. There was around 15 people in total and we had a great time. Part of the final spread: On Friday I flew to San Antonio to visit my dad as he was being more of a curmudgeon than usual this year and thought he could use my company. We've had a lazy but enjoyable few days doing relatively little besides watching football Saturday and Sunday. I'm trying to motivate him to get a little more active (he's 89) and it's been difficult lately. Hopefully he'll get motivated before we all get together for Christmas and then dove hunt in January. Regardless, as I posted in the SMRW, here's what I put together for us last night. It was the first cigar I've had since Thanksgiving day so I supposed, to answer the question posed by El Prez, it's my official Thanksgiving post lunch cigar, April 2012 Punch Double Corona with a bottle of Justin Cab 2016 and some random think cuts of meat my father had in the freezer. I hope all who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I hope all who didn't still had a good weekend while perhaps a little jealous of our gluttonous USA holiday traditions. Cheers! 2
Popular Post MoeFOH Posted December 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 4, 2019 I usually love drawing these comps... but this one has just made me incredibly hungry or, more accurately, incredibly hangry!! I think it was the chicken wrapped in bacon that finally tipped me over the edge! Seriously though, an absolutely fabulous response on this - thanks to all who contributed! And I hope your Thanksgiving festivities were every bit as delicious and enjoyable as they looked! To the random draw sampler winners... they are: @Hollywood Ninja @cbaty08 @Monocle @The Squiggler @Drguano Congrats!! Please PM your details (name, address and email) to me @MoeFOH and we'll arrange dispatch of your prize. Thanks again to all who participated! 5

Chibearsv Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Congrats to the sampler winners! It was great to see the variety of preparation and celebration that everyone was generous enough to post. Based on all the photos and posts, it looked like there were a lot of winners on Thanksgiving celebrating with family, friends, food, and cigars. 2
